While everyone else is drooling over Take Care, I want to point out that another album debuted on the charts and was WAY BETTER! Childish Gambino has been fighting to prove that they are real artists making great Alternative/Emo/HipHop music. The black community in hip hop really gave Donald Glover the cold shoulder when they first saw him with a microphone spitting bars, while white listeners really connected with the Comedian/Writer/Actor/(AND NOW!)Rapper. 51K is less than 10% of what the almightly anomaly Aubrey did, but did anyone really expect Childish Gambino (with little to no marketing, signed to an independent label) to hang with the power house of ridiculousness that is YMCMB. No. I appreciate the music. I appreciate Childish Gambino, and I'm glad he didn't go wood, like Travie did.
