Covered in True Blood and it feels great!

With Maryanne defeated, and the disappearance of Bill Compton before he's able to propose to his mortal love Sookie, its no secret why fans were on the edge of their seats June 13th. I could say HBO has definitely stolen my Sunday nights with great series like "How to make it in America", "Entourage", "Hung", "The Pacific", "Big Love", but I'd be lying; I gladly handed them my Sundays and glued my own face to the screen. So is True Blood really back, or is this just another "aww shyt Mase is back in the studio" situation? Sorry Mase, HBO is definitely steering clear of any Mase-like defunct returns, with Season 3!

Season 2 vs Season 3, so far...

Currently we're on episode 10 and things have not slowed down at all. Don't even attempt to try and pick up the show at episode 10 or 11; this ain't double dutch! You can't just jump in and be on rhythm with the rest of us. Please start from Episode 1, Season 1-- You've been warned! Season 2 was pretty meh, by the time it was all said and done. I don't know about you, but True Blood seriously needed to redeem itself. Season 2 was one of the biggest let downs of any show last year. Maybe some of you have seen that film with the "wrap it up box" ending by the name of Law Abiding Citizen, that's how Season 2 felt. The death of Maryanne was a huge "really?!" and the suicide of the great Eric creator Godric was very under-whelming given his character was one of the most hyped with that whole "Where in the world is Godric San Diego" feel. Not to mention, they didn't hold a proper slaughter fest for the leader of the Fellowship of the Sun. Such a massacre was ill expected given I'm a pretty sick individual myself; however, I was left unsatisfied and felt unappreciated as a fanatical viewer. But that's the past and this season is the real deal.

Season 3 is MORE!

Season 3 has it all! How else could I put it. Peta must be one of the new sponsors of the show, because there is way more fake blood being tossed around this season than any other. The supernaturals have definitely come out to play people. Its pretty much the Shifter's season-- I officially dub thee! You're going to see everything from the usual shifting into dogs and birds on up to the more deadly looking werewolves and even panthers. Yes, PANTHERS, and no the shifter isn't a Black guy; you can all snatch off your berrets, then proceed in removing fists from sky. A season definitely for the fellows, with SOME minor hangups. If there's no doubt in your mind that Sookie's name is well deserved, then you may be drooling during some of her more intimate scenes this season. There's also some hot on hot lesbian action *cheering is NOW allowed*. If Lafayette is more your Sookie *pause* which is completely YOUR BIZNESS NOT MINE, then this is the season for you-- godbless DVR and fast forwarding, my eyes can't handle all that bromance. Who knew murdered vamps resembled an over sauced Italian noodle dish? I can describe season three in one word, MORE! More blood, more nudity, more sex, more violence, more crazy, more gore, more weird, more cowbell, MORE TRUE BLOOD!
