Review: Piranha 3DD Overall Rating 2.5 stars out of 5

Ok so we had to check out Piranha 3DD and can I just say the movie is exactly what you’d expect like a T&A. Oh did we mention T&A because this movie is full of it. Unlike the first film, Piranha 3DD is tacky and intermittently entertaining. It’s full of double D’s, blood, guts and cheap scares.

In this sequel, somehow the prehistoric piranhas find their way from Lake Victoria to a newly opened water-park which is located next to a lake in Arizona, of course. And no film is complete without sex and stupid teen couples taking late night swims in the Lake only to find some hungry little fish. I think my favorite line in the movie is when Shelby [Katrina Bowden] tells police “something came out of me and bit his dick.” If I have you wonder what that was all about, it’s during a sex scene after a baby piranha swims up inside a girl who is a virgin. Somehow the fish is able to live inside of her and when she finally has sex the piranha bites the dude on the dick. Like the first film, this movie has another dick scene, of course.
The film is perfect for cheap scares and chilling at home this summer, so instead of rushing out to the theater to see this wet and wild scare fest. You can check it out on your on demand. Piranha 3DD is another no holds bar bloodshed and carnage fest. Plus it is filled plenty of naked women to feast your eyes upon. There are a few scenes in the flick that has any real thrills. Moreover, Piranha 3DD is NOT as good as the first, but it’s a teenage boy’s dream movie.

The film is based around marine biology student named Maddy (Danielle Panabaker) [Friday the 13th The Crazies, Mr. Brooks], who plans to spend the summer working alongside her stepfather Chet (David Koechner) [Hit and Run, David Hasselhof, who plays himself. The is that film where actors go when the career is on its last breathe and ready to die. The movie has cameo from Gary Busey, Clu Gulager, and Christopher Lloyd [Mr. Goodman] and VIng Rahmes Deputy Fallon are back to reprise their roles for another round with the blood-thirsty killer fish. This time around a legless Deputy Fallon is trying to get over his fear of water when the piranhas have a smorgasbord of water park victims.
