I could have sworn a few months ago Jay Electronic went on twitter and boasted about how he turned the album in and well, I don' tknow man. It's been months since then and now Jay-z himself is stepping in and saying that the album is almost there. Hov also talking about doing something very "experimental" with Jay Elect's project.

This should be interesting.   I wonder how the Jay E stans on the boards are feeling about what Hov's had to say on E's behalf. I won't believe it until I hear it, period.

RumorMeal: Jay-z Furious with J Cole, Dropping him from Rocnation??

Some stuff just has to be reported man. Sense we did the Drake No Phonte Collab Gag Order, its only right that we post this too. This sh*t always happens AFTER we've already recorded the podcast for the week. Smh.  Let me just say this. This is ONLY a rumor until Cole gets dropped.  If Cole does get dropped, is anyone surprised?  Rocnation has lost or shelved how many artists at this point?  So yea, may be the best thing to happen to the kid. 

 

September 08, 2011: MediaTakeOut.com got some CRAZY news. According to some very WELL PLACED SNITCHES, rapper J Cole is being DROPPED from RocNation - at Jay Z's insistence.

Here's what we know. According to one of our insiders at the label, Jay Z is EXTREMELY unhappy with J Cole, for what we're hearing are "personal reasons." Actually, we're told that Jay is so UPSET with the young rapper that he wanted to get PHYSICAL. Our insider claims that Jigga PURPOSELY MISSED J Cole's private album listening session - cause at the time, if Jay Z saw him - he would have PUT HANDS ON J COLE!!!

What happened to get Jigga so HOT? Well it's NOT CLEAR. But we know that the two rapper "disagreement" happened right around the time when HUSTLER magazine reported that they had a J COLE and RIHANNA SEXTAPE in their possession.

And Jigga wasn't just trying to F*CK DUDE UP physically . . . Jay has reportedly DROPPED J Cole from the ROCNation label. They will not OFFICIALLY announce J Cole being dropped until AFTER album is released later this month. But we're told that J Cole is getting virtually NO BUDGET, and NO PROMOTION on his upcoming album.

DANG . . .let this be a lesson to all rappers. DON'T F*CK WITH RIHANNA!!!

Jay-Z x Kanye West ft. Otis Redding "OTIS"

Let me just point out a few things:

1. First off, this is NOT A CDQ.
2. Second off, this is NOT STUDIO PRODUCED KANYE QUALITY.
3. Third off, THIS IS NOT (what most fans expected would be) KANYE AND JAY-Z QUALITY.

"Otis"

I don't know why, what, who, how, when, where; f*ck it, I just DON'T KNOW.  In the very first verse Jay-Z claims "I invented swag".  From this point on, you know the song is just a bunch of fugazi ass bravado rap.  This is the sh*t that Rick Ross's titties help him write from time to time.  I guess one of them must have been in the studio with Jay and Ye-- yes I'm personifying Ross's titties to make a point.  The song sounds like a million dollar cluster f*ck.  There's nothing inspiring about it.  Theres nothing breath-taking about it, unless you decide to commit suicide to make the pain go away. 

Otis is a masterpieceofsh*t!  The sample isn't even bad.  It's actually a great sample and could have been used to make a stellar beat.  Instead, Kanye got sloppy like he tends to do these days (check Amber Rose), and put together this beat.  So not only is there not a break in the beat to allow for some lyricism to be properly laid, but the beat is a simple fucking loop or the same annoying screams and yells.  So now, YES!, Even YOU can make a Kanye Production from the comfort and affordibility of your poor man's studio.  Otis reminds me of the slaves that didn't know they were free until almost two years after Lincoln freed them, Unnecessary Struggle!  C'monson, with lines like,

"Sophisticated Ignorance, write my curses in cursive

"
or,

"Photoshoot Fresh, looking like Wealth"

0r, my favorite so far,

"They ain't seen me since I pulled up in my other benz, last week I was in my other, other benz"

how am I supposed to even attempt to take this song seriously.  Now, we all know this isn't the polished version.  But for those of you using that argument, I have one simple question.  Are They Going To Polish Those Bars Too?
