Top 10 of 2010 [Mixtape Edition]: #2 Fashawn " Ode to Illmatic "
How many artists do Ode's in Hip hop. Of the ones that have been done, how many of them are good? Who cares! This one is undebatebly the best. Fashawn is obviously a child of Illmatic. This is the equivalent of a great remake but from a different perspective. It still harbors the same feel and sound of what Nas did with illmatic. Fashawn was able to create an mixtape that sounds like Illmatic but its content is developed from the west coast point of view. Not only that, its a lyrical masterpiece.

Fashawn
Fashawn aka Flash and "The F"(real name Santiago Leyva, born October 27, 1988) is an underground hip hop rapper from Fresno, California. He is best known for his debut album, Boy Meets World, which was produced entirely by one half of Emanon, Exile. He often collaborates with other rappers/producers such as Planet Asia, Evidence, The Alchemist, Exile, Blu, & U-n-i.
